The cost really wasn’t very much more than a room inside the hotel. Having the kitchen allowed us to stay in and cook and just spend time together. Terrance

I am proud to know Terrance. He works hard and laughs loud. He also has what is referred to as a “service heart” . Many who work in hospitality do. It’s why we do this kind of work. We strive to provide comfort to those who need. It’s a fact that volunteer work keeps a body healthy. I’m not sure of the science behind it . GM needed for Brookpointe Inn

As of November 1st, I will be stepping away from the management position. This has been the hardest job I have ever had , this has also been the work choice that I have loved the most. I know it confuses me too.lol. I think being a GM for a hotel is more like a life style than it is a career. I hope that the next GM falls in love with this contrary property as much as I have.

Celebrate Syracuse!

I give a lot of tours of this unique property I work from. We are locate on 30 acres of wooded property . There are trails winding around and through out. We have a zip line experience for all sizes of kids, an outdoor gaming area called family cove .We are in a town well known for its lakes, and Brookpointe is only a half a mile from the highway that takes you straight through Syracuse. I don’t have a snappy blog title for the following update :(

AM I HATE HATE HATE being the guy that has to update all regarding pool maintenance. I need you all to know though, the pool boiler needs serviced. The error message stated roll out switch is opened. I have the service request in —I really don’t anticipate any one coming out today . We here at the desk will keep the pool open, it will not be at the 89 degrees we all find so enjoyable and relaxing, right now it sits at about 83 degrees. I am sorry for the inconvenience. Kari

First…. The good news

We all are familiar with the phrase ” I have good news and I have bad news” I like the good news first, it sets the mood. So … ok… here is the good news.. 1, You all look great today. 2. It is another beautiful day outside. 3. We had a great weekend here at the resort property. It is beautiful and the guests enjoyed the fire pit and the walking trails and spending time together. A pool update for this day 2017

Your update for the maintenance work being done on our fabulous…. heated …. indoor….saltwater pool … The good news?- it is still a fabulous….indoor… saltwater pool. The bad news?– the heater has not been fully installed at this time. The good news?- the parts are all here on the property and the kings of maintenance are dedicated to getting it installed on this day. The bad news?–It has not been completed at the time I am writing this. We have cancelled the water aerobics class for tonight but I feel the pool will be up and running by the end […]
